By: Ainan
TANGERANG - On July 9, 2022, Bina Insan Kamil Islamic Boarding School celebrated Eid al-Adha 1443 H. The celebration of Eid al-Adha is also routinely carried out every year with students.
Bina
Insan Kamil Islamic Boarding School has celebrated Eid al-Adha. All residents
of the boarding school simultaneously did a night before Eid al-Adha where
people gather to welcome the day of victory along with parades and drum. The
next day, the Eid al-Adha prayer was held at the Baiturohman Mosque with the
Gempol Sari village community.
The
celebration of Eid al-Adha cannot be separated from the moment of slaughtering
sacrificial animals. Sacrifice has existed since the time of Prophet Adam,
Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail, Prophet Muhammad, until Allah revealed evidence in
the form of verses from the quran and hadith commanding to sacrifice to Muslims
in the world.
The
moment of slaughtering sacrificial animals also teaches us to become
individuals who always share with others. As Allah says in Q. S. Al – Hajj
verses 36 – 37, which means:
"We have made sacrificial camels ˹and cattle˺ among the symbols of Allah, in which there is ˹much˺ good for you. So pronounce the Name of Allah over them when they are lined up ˹for sacrifice˺. Once they have fallen ˹lifeless˺ on their sides, you may eat from their meat, and feed the needy—those who do not beg, and those who do. In this way We have subjected these ˹animals˺ to you so that you may be grateful."
"Neither their meat nor blood reaches Allah. Rather, it is your piety that reaches Him. This is how He has subjected them to you so that you may proclaim the greatness of Allah for what He has guided you to, and give good news to the good-doers."
The meaning of Eid al-Adha for a male student in class X of Senior High School is a form of tawakal or obedience of a servant to his Lord.
"Not only put his trust in carrying out all the commands of Allah SWT, but Prophet Ibrahim also passed all the tests without reducing his sense of obedience and love for Allah SWT in the slightest," he said.
Bina
Insan Kamil students are required to celebrate Eid al-Adha together at school,
both from Junior High School and Senior High School level. Generally, children
aged under 17 years cannot be far from their family, especially in celebrating
Eid al-Adha. However, one of the male students said that according to him
celebrating Eid al-Adha or not with family is the same thing and depends on the
intentions of each person.
"Celebrating Eid al-Adha with the family is definitely very desirable, but for me wherever and with whomever we celebrate it Insha Allah, Allah always bless and it goes back to how the intention of each person in performing the worship of Eid al-Adha which of course is solely addressed to Allah Swt., ” he said.
The meaning of Eid al-Adha is a form of obedience of every human being to his God by setting aside a little wealth and making a person who is always trustworthy in carrying out all His commands and avoiding His prohibitions, and accompanied by the intention always in carry out His commands.
